This is a 1981 Raleigh Super Record in Space Blue and Black with gold lug chasing and  Black and White Decals. It is a 20″ / 51 cm / Medium (center of bottom bracket to top of seat tube) lugged  Steel frame with a steel fork. The stand over height is 31″ directly in front of the saddle.

There are 10 speeds available through the alloy Raleigh branded Sakae Ringyo two ring (52/42t) crank set with 165mm arms and the Suntour 5 gear (14-34t) freewheel.

The rear derailleur is a Raleigh branded Suntour  7 GT and the front is also a Raleigh branded Suntour 7 Compe V.  Shifting is through Suntour Stem Mounted Power Shifters.

Both wheels are chromed Araya rims laced to high flange alloy Raleigh branded hubs. The front wheel is quick release and the rear is nutted. Both wheels have brand new 27″X1 1/4″blackwall tires.

Braking is handled by alloy Raleigh branded Dia Compe centerpull calipers with Dia Compe brake levers.

The alloy Sakae Ringyo Randonneur handlebars are mounted to an alloy Raleigh Branded Sakae Ringyo stem.

There are eyelets for front and rear fenders.and it has a kickstand with the original rubber foot.

The bicycle rides, turns, stops and shifts through all of the gears and rings.

This is a really pretty, well cared for bicycle. Raleigh was known for putting their name on every part of the bicycle and this one even still retains the Raleigh branded crank arm bolt covers. It still has the pump peg on the down tube but the pump is missing and the pedals are not original. It does have new tires, a new saddle and new handlebar tape, though.
