This is a 1998 Trek 420 in Metallic Sage Green with Red Decals.
It is a 17″ / 43cm / Small (center of bottom bracket to top of seat tube) welded Aluminum Frame with a Cro-Mo Steel fork.
The Stand Over Height is 28″ directly in front of the Saddle
There are 21 speeds available through the alloy Sugino RD 5000 three ring crankset with alloy arms and the 7 gear Shimano freehub. The alloy pedals have toe clips with nylon straps.
The rear derailleur is a Shimano RSX and the front is a Shimano RX100. Shifting is through Shimano STI Sora ‘Brifters’.
Both wheels are alloy Rigida double walled rims laced to quick release Shimano RSX hubs. Both wheels have Hutchinson Reflex 700x23c blackwall tires with presta valves.
Braking is handled by alloy Shimano RSX Side Pull dual pivot caliper brakes,
The black fabric Serfas saddle is mounted to an alloy seat post that moves freely in the seat tube.
There are bosses on the seat tube and the down tube for bottle cages.
The bicycle rides, turns, stops and shifts through all gears and rings as it should
A well equipped, light weight (approximately 22 lbs) road bicycle for the smaller rider in a a beautiful shade of green. The only defects are a piece of the plastic housing has broken off of the left STI which doesn’t effect shifting or braking and the fabric on the saddle is wrinkled.
