This is a 2019 Dawes Lightening 1000 in Black with Red decals.

It is a 17″ / 44 cm / Extra Small (center of bottom bracket to top of seat tube) Aluminum  frame with an Aluminum fork. The stand over height is 28.5″ directly in front of the saddle.

There are 24 speeds available through the three ring (30/42/52t) front crank set with alloy arms and the 8 gear (12-24) freehub.

The front and rear derailleurs are Shimano. Shifting is through Shimano STI shifters (Brifters).

Both wheels are AlexRims R500 alloys laced to alloy Formula 36 spoke quick release hubs with Kenda 700 x 25c red stripe tires with Schrader valves.

Braking is handled by side pull dual pivot caliper brakes with quick release. There are interrupter brake levers also mounted on the handlebars.

The red and black vinyl Velo saddle is mounted to an alloy seat post that moves freely in the seat tube and is currently at its lowest level.

There are bosses for bottle cages on the seat tube and down tube.

The bicycle rides, turns, stops and shifts through all of the gears and rings.

The red accents really stand out against the glossy black paint and give the bike a classic racing look.
