This is a 1991 Bridgestone RB-2 Synergy in Indian Silver with Blue decals. It is a 23″ / 59cm / Large (center of bottom bracket to top of seat tube) lugged, Ishiwata triple butted Cro-Mo Steel frame with a chromed steel fork. The stand over height is 32.5″ directly in front of the saddle.
There are 14 speeds available through the two ring alloy crank with 175mm alloy crank arms with Shimano clip in pedals and the 7 gear Shimano hyperglide freehub.
The rear derailleur is a Shimano Exage 400 EX and the front is also a Shimano Exage 400 EX. Shifting is through Downtube Mounted SunRace Indexed Shifters.
Both wheels are Wolber hard anodized alloy 700c rims drilled for Presta valves laced to quick release 32 hole alloy Shimano hubs. The rear hub is an RSX 100 and the front is an Exage. Both wheels have Continental UltraSport 700x25c black wall tires.

Braking is handled by Shimano RSX 100 dual pivot side pulls with quick release. The brake levers are Shimano RSX 100 alloy aero levers.
The Bontrager Race Lite black vinyl saddle saddle with Titanium rails is mounted to an alloy seat post that moves freely in the seat tube.
Alloy handlebars are mounted to an alloy stem. The stem is not frozen in the steering tube.
There is a bottle cage on the down tube and bosses for one on the seat tube.
The bicycle rides, turns, stops and shifts through all of the gears and rings as it should.
Still a very capable and good looking road bike 30 years on. Bridgestone claims a 23.6 lb weight which is respectably light for an all steel bicycle. I bought this bicycle from the original owner who both rode it a lot and took very good care of it. There is a small spot of paint wear through by the rear derailleur shifter and a little wear on the Synergy decal. Otherwise, the paint is a glossy, extremely sparkly metallic silver. Probably best suited for someone 6’0-6’3″.
For less than the price of a generic Bike Shaped Object that anyone might buy online or from a store that sells bicycles in the Toy Department, you could be riding this vintage bicycle with quality components. The fact that it is still rolling down the road is a testament to how well it was built.
